Great location for Ijen.
The entire hotel complex is large and so we travelled in the buggy, which when ordering came very quickly.
There were lots of available rooms nearer to reception but we were given furthest rooms.

Close to the Ijen crater, about 40min drive
Our sheets were dirty. We didn‘t have warm water at first and it took the staff until the next morning to fix it.

Disappointing
The style of the place is nice and has good potential. They want to do a resort style, when the other places to sleep in the area are more authentic bungalows. So I guess this way it gives the opportunity for people to choose according to their style. The breakfast is OK+ but not at all amazing.
The staff is soooo unhelpful! Everywhere you go in Indonesia people are juste so helpful and nice. Had to be the one and only place... It is basically the only true hotel in this area, yet they have no interest in helping you in any way. We were at another place the night before and they did everything possible to help and make us enjoy. We also understood that we had a room with a terrace view of the rice field. They gave us ground floor and didn't want to move us despite the fact that there were availabilities in upper floors. We asked for information regarding Ijen hike (transportation, tour...) they had no idea, could not answer any of our questions and just gave a vast Whatsapp number. Outrageous when you think that people come to this region especially for that. I also inquired about other activities in Banyuwangi. Same result, didn't know a thing. Finally, when we asked a transfer to the ferry, they told us it was 450k IDR!!! The place we staid at the day before gave us a ride ferry to their bungalow hotel for 100.000IDR. No service, no will to satisfy the clients and make them have a good time. I was wondering why the average grade was low and now I understand. You have amazing places to stay at not far which I recommend doing instead of this one.

Very bad hotel. Dirty rooms. Lots of ants and insects. Moldy room walls, bad smell. It looks like this hotel has not been maintained for a long time. The staff gave us a room that was very far behind the hotel, even though at that time the hotel was in a condition where there were not many guests. This hotel used to be quite famous for tourists who want to travel to Ijen. This hotel needs improvement in all its aspects, the hotel owner should pay attention.
