A decent hotel near to Mt Ijen

We chose this hotel as it was well rated and close to Mt Ijen, although we didn’t climb it. it was generally well maintained by Indonesian standards. We were in a large room with comfortable twin beds.

The hotel is based on villas which are spread out around the site in complexes. We ordered a deluxe room which ended up being right at the back of the resort next to building works. We refused the room but had to pay an upgrade to be closer to the reception and dinning area. The bathroom door would not shut and let lots of light into the room at day break.

Great location for visiting Gunung Ijen.

Restaurant not good at all. I've stayed here several times this year (2022) and the service in the restaurant is very poor. Staff not attentive and get order wrong (order given in English or Bahasa). Cold food that should be served hot, cold hot drinks, breakfast buffet running out of food 90 minutes before over, undercooked chicken on 2x visits. A shame about the restaurant as the rest of the place is ok.

La situation parfaite pour aller faire le ijen. Le personnel était correct mais parle pas bien anglais donc difficile de se comprendre parfois. Infrastructure bien.

Sur 3 personnes, 2 ont été malade et une autre famille de 4 personnes que nous avons rencontré pareil 2 malade... Nous avons change de chambre la première n'était pas propre

Not as expected

Close to the Ijen crater, about 40min drive

Our sheets were dirty. We didn‘t have warm water at first and it took the staff until the next morning to fix it.

Hotel close to Mt Ijen.

Location is good, close to other resto such Andung Andung & 1911 Cafe. Close to the entrance way to Paltuding, starting point of trekking to Mt Ijen. Breakfast is good, the taste is nice. Parking area is quite a lot & close to the room.

The flow of hot water for bathing is low, especially if the hotel is full. The hinge of the window is hard to be opened & closed, I think all of them need to be repaired. Room facilities need to be improved, such as the cleanness of the towels & cups & glasses.

Disappointing

The style of the place is nice and has good potential. They want to do a resort style, when the other places to sleep in the area are more authentic bungalows. So I guess this way it gives the opportunity for people to choose according to their style. The breakfast is OK+ but not at all amazing.

The staff is soooo unhelpful! Everywhere you go in Indonesia people are juste so helpful and nice. Had to be the one and only place... It is basically the only true hotel in this area, yet they have no interest in helping you in any way. We were at another place the night before and they did everything possible to help and make us enjoy. We also understood that we had a room with a terrace view of the rice field. They gave us ground floor and didn't want to move us despite the fact that there were availabilities in upper floors. We asked for information regarding Ijen hike (transportation, tour...) they had no idea, could not answer any of our questions and just gave a vast Whatsapp number. Outrageous when you think that people come to this region especially for that. I also inquired about other activities in Banyuwangi. Same result, didn't know a thing. Finally, when we asked a transfer to the ferry, they told us it was 450k IDR!!! The place we staid at the day before gave us a ride ferry to their bungalow hotel for 100.000IDR. No service, no will to satisfy the clients and make them have a good time. I was wondering why the average grade was low and now I understand. You have amazing places to stay at not far which I recommend doing instead of this one.

«Un po' sotto le aspettative»

Comodo per raggiungere la partenza dei trekking per Monte Ijen (30 Min in auto). Colazione abbondantemente.

Eravamo in una parte del resort in costruzione, abbastanza bruttina la posizione e non era pulitissima la camera. Sembrava una zona un po' abbandonata. Se esci dal resort non c'è nulla.

Great location for Ijen.

The entire hotel complex is large and so we travelled in the buggy, which when ordering came very quickly.

There were lots of available rooms nearer to reception but we were given furthest rooms.

Very Good

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The resort is large and conveniently close to mount Ijen.

We found some live animals (water bugs and frogs) in the large pool.
